Our History
Although he had made a name for himself on the island, Ramon Cruz set his eyes on a wider horizon. With a dream in his heart and a ticket in hand, he set off to New York City. Upon arrival, he worked his way through the fashion industry and worked with some of the biggest names in fashion. Now, he has set his eyes on a new horizon—serving his community and sharing the gift of a well-altered garment.
Our humble beginning started in Azua de Compostela, Dominican Republic, where a young boy learned the trade to become a master tailor. He learned from his father, who learned from his father. From a young age, Mr. Cruz displayed a talent for tailoring, and at the young age of 14 began working in one of the most famous tailoring shops on the island. There he honed his gift and crafted bespoke suits for some of the country’s most powerful and influential people—dignitaries, musicians, and politicians all flocked to Casa Paris to have a suit made by Mr. Cruz.
